The Party Committee of the Department of Physical Education currently has 5 Party branches for active faculty and staff and 1 for retired faculty, with a total of 92 Party members, including 74 active and 18 retired members.

The Party Committee places great importance on combining theoretical study with practical learning, having organized Party members to visit red education bases both inside and outside Beijing, such as the China National Archives of Publications and Culture, Jiaxing, Dandong, and Zunyi, to further strengthen their Party consciousness. In recent years, the Party Committee has used the development of the Swimming Party Branch as a model to stimulate the enthusiasm and initiative of its branches, focusing on promoting Party member recruitment and ensuring the political integration of new teachers and key staff. In the past five years, it has applied for 2 special projects under the Party Committee's "Climbing Peak Project, 3 branch research projects, and 10 special activities, and the Party Committee was awarded the "Excellent Organization Award. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, 6 teachers joined the university's Young Key Teachers Leading Workstation, 3 new faculty Party members were recruited, and there are currently 4 probationary members and 4 activists, forming a structured development pipeline.

The Party Committee will adhere to the overall leadership of the Party, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's encouraging messages and important speeches, focus on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, promote the exploration and dissemination of Tsinghua's sports traditions, strengthen physical education courses and high-level sports teams, promote the high-quality development of mass sports, actively explore new ideas and measures for physical education in the new era, and strive to play a "flagship" and "benchmark" role, contributing to the high-quality development of a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.
