Research Overview

She has led or been a key member in completing 6 national, ministerial, and collaborative projects, such as An Experimental Study on Cultivating Morally, Intellectually, and Physically Well-Rounded National-Level Student-Athletes in Regular Higher Education Institutions. She has served as chief editor or a main author for 3 books, including An Exploration of the Training System for High-Level Student-Athletes—An Empirical Study of the Tsinghua University Diving Team and Sports Marketing. She has published over ten papers, including "Training of Fu Mingxia during the Olympic Cycle" (China Sport Coach), "A Survey of Dietary Nutrition and Body Composition of Adolescent Female Divers in the Tsinghua University Diving Team" (Chinese Journal of Sports Medicine), "An Exploration of the Training System for High-Level Student-Athletes—An Empirical Study of the Tsinghua University Diving Team" (China Sport Science), "A Concept for the Scientific Approach to Sport Training in Regular Higher Education Institutions—A Case Study of the Tsinghua University Diving Team" (China Sport Science and Technology), "An Exploration of Cultivating Athletic Motivation in Divers" (China Sport Science and Technology), "An Analysis of the Training of Women's Platform Diving World Champion Fu Mingxia" (China Sport Science and Technology), and "Strength Training for Elite Divers" (Proceedings of the 2001 Beijing Sport Science Conference). At Tsinghua, she researched and implemented the "four modernizations" of the diving management system: systematization, process optimization, standardization, and refinement. Through diving classes, she has enabled students to learn and practice the relationship between physical beauty and temperament, the unity of mind and body and the unity of knowledge and action, as well as the values of courage, transcendence, cooperation, and inclusiveness. She has contributed to China's long-standing world leadership in diving.
