The Retired Faculty and Staff Party Branch of the Department of Physical Education currently has 17 Party members. The branch has always adhered to Party building as its guide, uniting the strength of its senior members. It fully leverages the political and experiential advantages of retired Party members, actively engaging in ideological guidance, service and care, and cultural inheritance, and continuously contributing to the development of sports.
In terms of organizational development, the branch strictly implements the "Three Meetings and One Lecture" system and conducts diverse educational activities tailored to the characteristics of its senior members, enhancing the appeal and effectiveness of its organizational life. In terms of playing a functional role, the branch encourages senior Party members to "remain with the Party after leaving their posts and maintain their character after retirement. Several members have been honored as "Advanced Individuals for Active Senior Years" and "Advanced Individuals in Retired Staff Affairs. They have demonstrated commitment in areas such as epidemic prevention and control, online teaching, and support for large-scale events. Some members have received honors such as the "Qingyun Zhuguang—My Favorite Teacher" award, "Advanced Individual for the Winter Paralympic Games, the "Teaching Excellence Award, and the "Gong Yuzhi Teaching Award.
The branch emphasizes humanistic care and the passing on of its spirit, actively organizing cultural and sports activities to enhance cohesion and create a harmonious and warm collective atmosphere. In the future, under the leadership of the Department of Physical Education Party Committee, the Retired Staff Party Branch will continue to stay true to its original aspiration, keep its mission firmly in mind, and unite and lead all senior Party members to continue contributing their remaining passion and writing new chapters of glory, dedicating their wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of sports at Tsinghua University.
